With nearly two decades immersed in the world of coffee, Alan Bates has built a career defined by craftsmanship, innovation, and mentorship. From roasting beans to building cafés from the ground up, his journey has been fueled by a relentless passion for excellence and community.

Alan’s training spans both coasts—earning certifications through the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) in California and New York, and completing La Marzocco repair and maintenance training in Seattle. His expertise has made him a trusted consultant and supplier for coffee ventures across the country.

Named a “Pensacola Rising Star” and Inweekly’s Best Barista, Alan has opened six cafés from blueprint to grand opening, managed four thriving locations, and personally trained and mentored over 100 baristas—many of whom have gone on to lead in their own right.
